Public Library Resources, Reading and Writing Gifts for Kids, and Bookmark Contest Results

The AR (Accelerated Reader) due date is on Nov. 19! I hope the students are close to meeting their reading goals!  Ask your child’s homeroom teacher if you have any questions or concerns.

Hello from Halton Hills Public Library! We want to remind educators and students that Halton Hills Public Library is open and looking forward to helping students, teachers and families this school year.

We have a lot of resources for students who are in the classroom or who are working remotely.  These resources are available virtually or in both of our branches (Georgetown and Acton) and the list below is just a sampling of what we offer.

Study Rooms: You can book a room to study in alone or work as a group

Bookable Library Technology: Chromebooks, Laptops, Headphones and Charging cables are available for use in the library

Computer Workstations: Computers and printing are available

Free Wi-Fi is available in the library, or you can get on the waitlist for a mobile hotspot to take home

Thank you SO much to all those students who entered the HHCS Bookmark Contest!  It was great to see all the submissions that were emailed to me.  I appreciated seeing all the creativity and effort!  I was having a hard time picking the winners so I chose a couple of extra!  Here are the winners.  Congratulations to Brooke in grade 1, Isabel in grade 4, Tyler and Gabby in Grade 5, and Hayley in Grade 6!
