I’m excited to be starting a Battle of the Books team!  If your child is interested and missed last week’s introductory meeting, there is still time to join.  We will meet during two recess times each week.  This program is organized and hosted by the Halton Hills Public Library.

Women’s History Month

We had a wonderful week last week with our Accelerated Reader celebrations.  Congratulations to all who met their AR goal!  Students had an Olympics theme this week at school, with completing the Reading Olympics Challenge, (winners to be announced at school this week) a theme-dress day as an Olympian or a person from a country in the world, learning about Olympic sports and traditions, and class campfires with delicious treats.

March is Women’s History Month and I have a lot of great resource lists to share with you.  I have a display of books related to this theme in the library at school.  I am encouraging the students to take them out and give them a try- maybe you can remind your children at home as well to try some of these books and learn something new! Wishing everyone a happy March Break- only a few more days to go!
